The last time I did the fast I lost over 5 pounds after the first day. This time: 0.2 pounds. Just a little off the pace, but that’s OK. While I am hoping for enough weight loss to win the “Biggest Loser” contest at work, weight loss isn’t a very big motivating factor, so I won’t be disappointed if I don’t lose a lot. I will just take that as a sign that my ideal weight is around 180.
I had a headache most of the day yesterday, but didn’t want to take any medicine because I new it was from my body detoxing and knew it would go away on its own. It faded to a point where I barely felt it around 8:00 last night. This morning I woke up and it was gone completely.
I did have a cramp in my left side when I woke up, though. It was right in the middle of my ribs and it hasn’t gone away yet. Not sure where it came from, but I have a feeling it is another detox symptom. Hopefully it goes away soon, though. It doesn’t really hurt, but it sure is annoying.
I had cravings for food all day. In the morning and early afternoon I had cravings for foods that aren’t healthy for me: pizza rolls, cheetos puffs, and chocolate brownie batter were the strongest. The brownie batter is a little weird because I haven’t eaten chocolate in almost two and a half years. The cravings gave way to healthier counterparts towards the evening: grilled chicken was the main one.
The salt water I have for breakfast still tastes pretty bad, but it still does it’s job. About halfway to work my stomach started gurgling and I moved my bowels as soon as I got to work.
